Teaching Career Development at Chicago-Kent College of Law

I really enjoyed speaking to the law students at the Chicago-Kent College of Law last night.

The topic was a mix of networking skills, personal branding, and how to build a resume that grabs the attention of the hiring partners or professionals at law firms of all sizes. We offered our book, “The Ultimate Law Firm Associate’s Marketing Checklist,” for just a couple bucks each, to give the students a head start on their careers.

They were an interested, interactive, and enthusiastic group. I’m sure that the free beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres had nothing to do with their attendance and rapt attention.
