Tweeting During PresentationsScreen Shot 2015-01-05 at 11.55.05 PM

A few years ago, the sign of a bored audience was people playing with their phones under their desks, checking email on their Blackberrys.

They think the speaker won’t notice if they hold the phones in their laps, although from the stage it’s actually quite obvious.

I mention that because today, you see the same phenomena — people playing with their smart phones during the session.

But it’s actually a compliment – they’re tweeting how much they like the presentation, and are offering hash-tagged tips to those who aren’t in attendance.

BTW, on Twitter, I’m @rossfishman.
